Steve's Sentiments - 4th Qtr 2008
At the time of this writing the Church has just moved into our new Worship Center. It was a great first Sunday and we are looking forward to many more in the future. Just a word for our members as we start this new chapter in NHBC history, one thing that was told to Amanda and myself before we came to North Henry was that it was a friendly, loving church and when we arrived it did not disappoint. We must make sure that, in the future, people continue to say that about our church. In the coming weeks and months many people are going to be coming to our church in order to check out the new building. We want them to go away talking about the friendliness and love of our church, not about the new building. Make a point to seek out visitors and people who have not been here in a while, make them feel welcome, invite them out to lunch or invite them to your Connection Group. The main goal should be building relationships with everyone who is walking through those doors. By us becoming friends and sharing our lives with visitors, we will be able to talk to them about Jesus as friends, not just "church people".
North Henry at Night is getting ready for its' big kickoff. For those who are not sure what North Henry at Night is here is a brief description. North Henry @ Night is a service that is designed for the Bridger Generation (Ages 15-30.) It incorporates Music, Technology and Messages that will hit this generation where they are at. It meets on Sunday nights @ 6:00 PM and lasts until 7:00 PM. If you know anybody in this age group who you feel would benefit from this service, please invite them. The services are typically once a month and our first services will be on Oct 12 and Oct 26. Please pray that this service will help NHBC reach this generation for Christ.
